Stephen Chensue, M.D., Ph.D. is an Emeritus Professor and physician-scientist at the University of Michigan with interests ranging from shamanic healing to nanotechnology. He is the author of numerous scientific publications in the field of Immunology. His non-scientific works include both poetry and novels. The thematic interest of his fiction is the collision of the mystical-fantastic with the material-scientific.
Ethnically, he is a collision of occidental and oriental. On his mother’s side his roots are in a long line of warriors of Scottish origin. On his father’s side his roots can be traced to Southern China. He publishes under the pseudonym Chen Tzu in remembrance of his great grandfather who emigrated from China to the Americas in the nineteenth century.
